James 2:1-13
Inspired thots
F a v o r i t i s m.
Yes, I must be careful about this; in today's world, it is SO easy to have quick 'negative' thoughts when we size up people. Yes, the way we dress 'tells' on us but it should not cause us to think badly against the person.
My sinful nature is so quick to have bad thoughts of others in any situation; for example, when someone falls down, a 'cheerful' glee springs up within first before sympathy sets in. Conscientiousness must be diligently present to guard against evil and unkind thoughts to be the first to spring up to the mind. I have to keep praying against such unkind thoughts and rebuke them; and slowly I feel the rise of a more compassionate spirit.
It is so easy to 'insult the poor' - to ignore them with many 'reasonable' excuses; yet, it is the 'rich' who gives trouble because of their wealth and arrogance. Why do we subject ourselves to such 'torment'?
It's all about L O V E. First time I really see these words 'the royal law' -> Love your neighbour as yourself. Mark 12:30
Mercy triumphs over judgment. V13
Being merciful may be hard for me to exercise but it does not mean I should be exercising judgment either.
Many a times we have to choose between 2 evils but when it is so clear which is evil and which is good, there need not be a choice. Mercy is good. Judgment is evil. Only God is the judge. God will judge us with the same judgment we judge others - and that can be quite harsh. So, better be wise and exercise 'do to others what you want others (GOD) to do to you' Matt 7:12 - the Golden Rule.
It all ties up ~> favoritism >>> judgment
A daily time out with the Lord Jesus, to hear Him speak to ME. I am asking the Lord to share HIS thoughts with ME, to teach me more about Himself, and how I can be drawn closer to Him... for 'His thoughts are not my thoughts and neither are His ways my ways' Isaiah 55:8,9. This blog is not a theological exegesis. This blog is to record down the INSIGHTS & INSPIRATIONS of God's Word to me; speaking LIFE into my life for Abundant life! :)

There is Always a Better Alternative (God's Way)
John 8:1-11
Inspired thots:
I am sure many today would have asked, 'what did Jesus write on the ground with his finger?'
Was He just doodling while waiting for the self-righteous to come to their senses?
or,
Was He writing 'Judgment' as in the case of king Belshazzar in Daniel 5:25?
'Mene, Mene, Tekel, Parsin'
To me, it is just a simple form of distraction for self when confronted with a pressing situation;
to make time for self to 'think' or 'be cool' so that no rash judgment or bad action be taken.
Again, God speaks to me with regards to my life situations. There's bound to be regrets when I act rashly; better get a diversion to 'buy time' in order to make better judgments or actions.
Yes, I will learn to wait for God's time ~ the RIGHT time, as Jesus mentioned just in Chapter 7 verse 6. This teaching is really a form of character building ~ testing my patience and submission to God's ways. Help me pass Lord! Help me 'turn the other cheek' for I am not of the world (John 17), thus my thoughts and actions should not be of the world. (Isaiah 55:8,9)

Truth is the RIGHT Judgment Tool
John 7:17-24
Inspired thots:
v17,18
When one chooses to do God's will, he is prepared to be a 'servant' or a worker accountable to his superior. He is on a mission; focused on a task; his objective is to complete the assignment as instructed for the one who gave the instructions. His focus is NOT on himself but on the originator of the instructions or task.
That is what makes a person 'nothing false'. He is a 'man of truth'.
This phrase 'nothing false' reminds me of how Jesus addressed Nathanael in John 1:47 - the exact words; a true Israelite. He must've been an honorable man, seeking God and obeying the commandments.
Yet Nathanael was not one of Jesus' 12 disciples; his brother Philip was. (Matt 10:2-4)
v24 Man's way of life is by judging through sight - mere appearances - which one can hide or camouflage the true intents of the heart.
No wonder Jesus commanded 'make a RIGHT judgment' at the end. Truly, only God can make the RIGHT judgment, for He alone knows what is in a man. (John 2:24)

I am ... or... I am Not!
Matthew 12:22-50
Inspired thots:
So simple... the message is SO clear.
I am either FOR the Lord, or I am against Him.
I am either WITH the Lord, or I am not with Him.
I am either UNITED in the Lord, or I am NOT.
I either GATHER with the Lord, or I scatter what is His.
I either bear GOOD Fruit or Bad.
I am either filled with the Holy Spirit or with evil spirit (demon).
I am either a CHILD of God or partaker of the devil.
For the side I am on, I will be molded to act, will, speak, feel and live...
Then, on judgment day, there will be accountability of every action, word and thought done.
But, whoever does the will of God, is welcome into the Kingdom of Heaven!

Relations that are most important is not the earthly relations but the eternal relations ~ being a child of God, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.
