What a great sin we have when we offer blemished offerings to the Lord! A greater sin when we claim ignorance or denial of such a wicked deed! The chapter is so clear about man's attitude and behavior. We give 1001 reasons in justifying our unrighteous deeds to the Lord.
Yes, we may start off well with a genuine desire, even strong passion, to know God and do His will. Yet, when He blesses, we tend to hold back the best tithes and offerings. Giving the best to the Lord is hard for a selfish servant. It is a proclamation of not trusting and honoring the provider for the best while a selfish attitude is displayed.
Have mercy, Lord! Forgive.
A daily time out with the Lord Jesus, to hear Him speak to ME. I am asking the Lord to share HIS thoughts with ME, to teach me more about Himself, and how I can be drawn closer to Him... for 'His thoughts are not my thoughts and neither are His ways my ways' Isaiah 55:8,9.
