Romans 2:8,9: It is by grace that I have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.
The Chapter starts with a reminder of how I or any child of God has received God's grace - when God shown His favor on me and His people, to give us salvation.
Salvation is the Start of my journey to Heaven. There will be 'troubles, hardships and distresses' etc... but still, I am to commend myself in every way; with weapons of RIGHTEOUSNESS in my Right Hand, and everything else, good or bad, in my Left Hand. Hmm... righteousness seems to balnce up all else.
But as Paul mentioned in v11-13, no matter how OPEN and GIVING he has been to the Corinthians, they have NOT reciprocated. I feel the same. Hearts are NOT open to Jesus; hence, they are not open to the things of God.
Yes, v16 says 'For we are the TEMPLE of the Living God' And God will 'live with His people and work among them; He will be their God and they will be His people'.
The exhortation is to come out from the world and be separate for God the Father to receive His child.
A daily time out with the Lord Jesus, to hear Him speak to ME. I am asking the Lord to share HIS thoughts with ME, to teach me more about Himself, and how I can be drawn closer to Him... for 'His thoughts are not my thoughts and neither are His ways my ways' Isaiah 55:8,9. This blog is not a theological exegesis. This blog is to record down the INSIGHTS & INSPIRATIONS of God's Word to me; speaking LIFE into my life for Abundant life! :)
