Never thought much about fasting. Seems so difficult to fast. Getting into prayer but yet to break through into fasting...
- The one time I remember clearly about fasting is for the salvation of my mom... praise the LORD, for His mercy...and that was like 25 years ago (?)
- There were other times which I did fast a bit... now and there... about this and that. It's just that fasting has not been prominent or regular in my life.
- And yet, as CBC ventures into fasting and praying for God's leading next weekend, this passage comes on for today. Amazing! I do believe God is leading me to consider fasting seriously.
- v15: the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.
a) Jesus has been gone for some time now. It should be the right time to consider some real serious fasting. What should I fast about?
b) I believe John the Baptist (& his disciples) might have fasted for the Messiah to come (and Jesus did!)
- I should fast for Jesus to come again (to return), ... and He will!
- Sensing God's heart for Man, I should fast for Man's salvation. Let me start with Malaysia!
