Manipulations DISPLEASE God

2 Samuel 11

Inspired thots

David coveted Uriah's wife; Uriah was a dedicated and humble commander in David's army who was willing to forsake all to serve his king and country. Yet David sinned. From good intentions, he turned to bad intentions and manipulated the situation to get his own gain. So God was displeased with him.

No one is perfect; our hearts are deceitful. But the bible already warned us that "when you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your (heart's) door; it desires to have you but you must master it." (Gen 4:7)
