A Christian always has many many reasons to rejoice despite the circumstances. It is necessary to give thanks to God for the many blessings He pour out to us every day although unfavorable situations come on by. Christians can encourage one another and rejoice to be built up and strong in faith. There are always reasons to rejoice; there is always a silver lining behind every dark cloud.

How positive was Paul even in prison! He saw the faithfulness of the Philippians towards him and God which encouraged him to live on. We must learn to handle afflictions joyfully for we have hope. 2 Cor 4:8-10 says it all; "we are afflicted in every way but not crushed; perplexed but not driven to despair; persecuted but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed; always carrying in the body, the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our mortal flesh."

Doing Everything To Stand Strong

Ephesians 6

There is an advice for everyone in this passage to encourage one and all to stand strong in the Lord against falling to the enemy by doing all that can be done to please God. Children must obey and honor their godly parents while fathers are to discipline in love and patience. Slaves are to submit to their masters who are not to abuse them through authority.

Everyone in every category in life needs to stand strong against the enemy; we have the full armor of God to protect ourselves as we engage in a spiritual warfare. How important to do all we can to stand and then, stand firmly in our faith which can save us.

Life In Step With The Spirit of God

How necessary to be in tune with the Holy Spirit in order to keep pace with Him as He reveals the heartbeat of God! There is SO much happening in our lives that we often tend to miss out on what the Spirit of God is prompting. So important for us to learn to hear and obey the Spirit of God at all times.

Exciting times are in stored when we walk with the Spirit of God. We can enjoy discernment and revelation when we stay close to the Spirit; let Him lead and guide all the way. Yield to God's Spirit.

Grow Into Maturity

The Life of Christ is special; hence, as children of God, we carry about HIS Life for our living which takes us from maturity to maturity. We are called to minister to God and one another according to the gifts given. This life of victory is not to be for self alone but to build up others in the body of God. It is a selfless life we are to live to God's glory while putting off fleshly nature.

God Is At Work In Me & You

An amazing God who is always working in each of us who seek Him. His power is mighty and wonderful as He reveals Himself to His people for the equipping of the saints. Everyone of His children has a role to fulfill. God also gives us His wisdom to understand His mysteries; strength in the inner man to raise up Faith; power to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge.

What is God's purpose? So that we would be filled with all the fullness of God... to be more like Him. 

Reconciliation Brings Peace

It is God's purpose to reconcile man to Him for He is our creator. Hence, man should reconcile with one another and fulfill the will of God. Through reconciliation, we bring on peace from God that keeps our hearts united and joyful. Walls of hostility are broken down when we are united in Christ; exactly what was prayed for at this morning's prayer watch.

Thus, we become a holy temple for the Lord; a dwelling place for God in the Spirit. Yes, our bodies are the temple of God. He is preparing His church to be His holy bride when He comes.

Glorious God of Salvation

There is ALWAYS A PURPOSE with God. Everything He does is destined for greatness to glorify His name. He created us and chose us to glorify Him with all spiritual blessings. He makes known His will to us although He is Almighty God. We are appointed to praise Him to His glory. We have a purpose in Life.

In Christ, we have all hope, riches, blessings and power to live and be fulfilled. Hallelujah!

Being Complete in Christ

How necessary for every Christian to desire more of the Spirit and be complete in Christ and bless others as is the will of God. It is God's will to build up His church through one another so that self is dethroned and
God is enthroned.

God's ways are SO different from man's ways; man seeks to glory in self but God seeks to glory in man His creation. We are to share good with all in the kingdom of God! That would make us complete in Christ and His body which pleases Him.

Spiritual Freedom in Christ Through The Spirit

Once we are freed from the law, we are alive in Christ through His Holy Spirit who lives within. We must allow the Holy Spirit to have His way in our lives for victorious living. How important to desire the Fruit of the Spirit to overcome the world and our flesh. Difficult but not impossible if God's word says it. Hallelujah!

How important to keep living for the Lord instead of going back to our former ways of life! The Lord has indeed set us free; and we shall be free indeed. So, onward with our faith and growth in Christ!

Indeed Almighty God has a marvelous plan for humankind. He has accorded us freedom as His children who are set free from the law. Hence, we are children of promise...God's promise; and His promises are always 'Yes' and 'Amen'. (2 Cor 1:20) Hence, we should enjoy our godly status in Christ as co-heirs.

How wonderful to be children of the living God! for all things are ours...

Possible Diversion in Faith

How common for Christians to stray away after their initial point of salvation. We tend to forget that transformation into Christ's character takes time although we are created in His image. We are elated at the point of salvation but the things of the world seep in again.

How important for us to rise up in faith and stay focused on God than be led astray with worldly concerns. If we are careless, we can be sucked into materialism, depression and self-righteousness through deception. And our actions would be evidence of our diversion which is the scheme of the enemy.

Consistent Lifestyle

Galatians 2

Peer pressure and the fear of man can cause havoc to a Christian's life if there is not enough spiritual maturity. Inconsistency in lifestyle brings confusion to others and weakens the faith. It hinders growth in Christ. There is no confidence in self and there is no changing for the better self.

How important to be consistent in our belief to grow our faith. It is crucial to know, accept and be reminded of verse 20; "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."

Christ is our ANCHOR in life to steady our lifestyle and living to be consistent.

The Past & Present

However our lives may be, we should continue on our faith journey steadfastly without turning to the left or right. Our past molds us for the present to take hold of the future. Paul allowed his past to mold his present by remembering how he was to become what he should be in the eyes and will of God. Faith needs to arise within to achieve that instead of looking to others to build up.

It is the will of man to rise up and move on with God while seeking Him diligently every day. Our faith should not be swayed by circumstances and other people. We can glorify God in our lives with the rising up of faith today.

Looking UP

2 Corinthians 13

No one likes to be chided as everyone thinks they are wise... but in their own eyes. How necessary for others to remind each other to be humble and steadfast in our faith. If we check ourselves, we would not need others to check on us.

Indeed, as Paul mentioned, Christ is in us... His life is in us... He speaks to us. Do we not hear HIM who is alive in us? Then we would not need others to speak to us on God's matters. Rightly so, we have to examine and test self for the victory in Christ. Look up to Christ; hear Him and know He is the Lord. All things are done to build up His church and not tear down.

Bearing Heavy Responsibility

Paul bore a heavy responsibility as God's servant to the churches. How hard to motivate Christians to live their lives righteously. It should be one's personal responsibility and not the leaders if one is truly born again and in Christ! What Christ has done for each one personally should be sufficient to motivate one to live righteously before God all the time without others to bear responsibility.

We can encourage and remind one another of our position in Christ to stay focused on Him instead of placing the responsibility on another to check on our spiritual condition all the time. How immature that would make us...

God's Commendation Warrants Boasting

2 Corinthians 10

Boasting may not seem to be favorable for a godly and humble Christian but there is a place and time for it. Paul boasts of Christ and His body as a form of encouragement to build up their faith so that Christians are reminded constantly of their identity in Christ.

It is this boasting that brings about boldness and confidence in Christ to live a victorious Christian life as we continuously acknowledge the power and life of Christ within us. Hence, there is a limit to boasting; in other words, we boast only what glorifies God in humility without credit to self.

Liberal Offerings that Bring Fruit in the Kingdom

 A simple action such as tithes and offering from a Christian can have a huge impact in the kingdom of God. A liberal offering can bring on much fruit to all peoples; salvation to non-believers as the Word of God is preached using the finances; Christians are shown as good testimonies with their generosity in supporting those who are lacking.

How wonderful for the glory of God to be manifested amongst His people! It is an act of obedience to the Lord as we make use of the things of the world to further God's kingdom.

Generous Giving

It is important to be whole and well in every aspect of our Christian life. As we excel in the gift of the Spirit, we should also excel in giving to others who lack so that they would not be in want. Christians are to take turns helping out each other so that there would be no want in their lives. Those who have ample are to pass on to those who are in need so that equality comes in and not pride or envy.

This is to keep the body of Christ healthy as money is this world's property; not God's.
hence, "Give to Caesar (the world) what belongs to Caesar and God what belongs to God." God is not interested in our earthly riches but heavenly... character building.

Comforting Each Other

2 Corinthians 7

There will always be some trial and temptation to test our faith and unity in Christ. How important it is to fellowship and encourage one another to stay strong in our faith. Do not let the things of the world bring down your spirit that can go into despair and hopelessness; for that is NOT the will of God.

We need one another to encourage us upward on our journey of faith instead of bickering and judging each other. If the brotherly rebuke is righteous, humility should be exercised to repent and be restored. Hallelujah to God in the highest for unity in His body brings Him glory!

Be Everything Great for the Lord

It is exciting to be a Christian especially TODAY as today is the ACCEPTABLE time; it is the day of Salvation. We are to be everything great for the Lord for He is so much more. It is never enough to be mediocre; there are never enough words to describe God or His children.

It is the Self that puts hindrances across our path to be great for God. It is the Self that gets lured into unhealthy alliances which bring about our destruction.

Weakness in the Flesh

The flesh is our earthly tent which is subject to a host of worldly troubles. But as we walk in faith and not by sight, the Lord provides all our needs. Our flesh may be weak but our spirit can be strengthened in the Lord by His grace and mercy.

How important to note that we are a new creation in Christ with our trespasses forgiven without condemnation. Hallelujah! We live to please Christ in every way.

Do Not Lose Heart - Think Eternity

We are earthen vessels on earth during our time here. As earthen vessels, we are instruments of applications but not invulnerable. Hence, we can be subject to afflictions, perplexity, persecution and other forms of abuse but we do not lose heart as we have the Holy Spirit within us. Hence, we are new creations in Christ and death may be at work in us but life is in us too.

Knowing that, we must NOT let the works of death dim out our Life within as we are not crushed, despair, forsaken or destroyed. The death of Jesus gives way to the life of Jesus manifested in our mortal flesh. So, we BELIEVE and SPEAK Life to our bodies. Amen!

Bearing Testimonies by Our Lives

How important to be united in Christ for the body of God to bear testimonies for Jesus. People may come and go in our lives to build us up at different stages; all to the glory of God so that we become living testimonies by our lives. 

Children of God need to remember their new status in Christ that offers freedom and liberty from the world and sin to reflect the glory of Jesus with the Holy Spirit deposited in us as guide. Our heavenly Father does not leave us alone to keep transforming us more and more into His glory. Hallelujah!

God's Yes with a Guarantee

How inspiring to know that all of God's promises are 'YES' in Him; and indeed it is so as they are PROMISES. It is logical that promises should be Yes because of their nature. However, God always take a second mile with a guarantee of the Holy Spirit deposited in our lives.

With that encouraging thought, we must live wisely as free men in God among ourselves with unity, love and prayer for one another. Bless the Lord! Bless the brethren everywhere.
